What are Togs?

A tog measurement is a European warmth rating: the higher the tog, the warmer the product. This is meant as a guide only and you should consider all factors when choosing how to clothe your baby or toddler for sleeps.

What Tog should I use?

A number of factors determine the tog rating of the baby Sleep Bag or Swaddle that should be used.

  • Your location/where about you live (humidity / cold weather)
  • Temperature of your home and babies room (whether heating or air conditioner is used at all)
  • What you dress your baby/toddler underneith their suits/bags
  • Your baby's health (if they have fever or are unwell)

General Advise:

  • 3.5 Tog - Winter Weight, for cold rooms around 16°C and below
  • 2.5 Tog - Winter weight, for rooms around 16-20°C
  • 1.0 - 1.7 Tog - Mid-Season - Warmer Spring & Autumn weather, with rooms around 21-23°C
  • 0.2 - 0.5 Tog - Summer weight, hot weather and warm rooms 24-27°C
