Woven Wraps are a long length of woven fibres that create a wrap for your baby or toddler. They come in several sizes and are appropriate from Newborn all the way through to pre-schoolers.
There are many different ways that you can wrap your little one in a woven wrap, on the fron, side or back. It is safest to always have bub upright and tummy to tummy with you.
There are several sizes with woven wraps but most beginners like to start with a size 6 wrap (4.6m). However the size of the wrap that you choose will be slightly impacted by bubs/toddlers size, your size and the styles of wrapping that you would like to do.
There are also many different blends of fibres such as cotton, Linen, Hemp, Bamboo, Tencil, Silk, Wool and more. The fibres can add different qualities to the wrap, for example Bamboo makes a wrap very soft, Hemp very supportive, so you can also keep these qualities in mind when choosing.
For a newborn or a young bub a Cotton, cotton/bamboo, cotton/tencil blend are all lovely options. For toddlers you may like to choose something with Hemp or Linen for additional support, however some cotton wraps are also very supporting depending on the weave.
