"Funds raised through the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Appeal will be used to enable short-term financial relief arising from drought affecting rural communities.

This may include supporting individual and household health and well-being by making financial support available to meet everyday household expenses as well as helping people access social, health and educational activities.

The funds will be distributed to drought-affected communities working with partner agencies who support and have identified at-risk individuals and families in the affected areas.
